(From Peterson Funeral Chapel)
Kadence Nicole Harris, age 17 of Aurora passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023 from injuries sustained from a Car vs Motorcycle accident in Aurora, Missouri. She was born March 11, 2006 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of L and Kristy (Stevens) Harris.
From a very young age Kadence enjoyed hunting and fishing with her father. She just recently learned how to fish one handed. She was a cadette for the Aurora City Fire Department. Kadence was not your typical teenage girl. She loved to work on any type of motor and already had her motorcycle license. She was a huge part of the planning for the Harris Wiskey Lamps Poker Run to benefit the Thornton Toy Drive.
She successfully completed one year at Scott Tech in Monett in the Auto Tech field; receiving several certifications in auto mechanics. She planned to attend college in South Carolina to be a Harley Tech after graduation. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always the life of the party. From the moment Kadence was born, she was surrounded by her cousins that loved her deeply; three of them were looking forward to their upcoming graduation alongside her.
Kadence would not want us to mourn her loss, but rather celebrate the life that she lived. She was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by Jesus. Kadence rode into heaven with J.R, her adopted brother Kameron and Linda.
Survivors include her parents, L and Kristy; one brother, Layne Harris of the home; grandparents, Lonnie and Sharon Harris of Aurora; Mark and Donna Stevens of Nixa;
Uncles and aunts, Kyle and Tabitha Hadlow (Tayler, Lucas, and Jaxon), Keefe and Tawny McHenry (Dayton, and Kayven) all from Aurora, Zac and Holly Stevens (Emberly) from Nixa, Sara Harris (Zac, Rylee, and Mikaylla Cullen) from Monett.
She was preceded in death by her uncle Kenny Cullen; Great Grandma Mable Harris and great grandpa Don Stevens.
