(From Ozark Memorial Park Crematory)Lily Mae (Patton) Emmer, age 84, passed away on August 30, 2024, at Joplin Gardens with her family by her side.
She was born to William and Jenny Patton on Aug. 16, 1941. She was married twice: First to Harold Cox, and then to Martin Emmers who are both deceased. She had one child: Billy Starks of Miami, Oklahoma, and wife Alisha. She had a nephew: Ollie Rickey (deceased). Survivors include Connie Bettes and husband Rick of Joplin, and Jinnie Arnold and husband Patrick of Joplin.
Lily was a nurse’s aide most of her life. She loved to go to the Hootenanny with her sister Lucille O’Banion and Odie Patterson. Lily never met a stranger. She was loving and funny lady. She was a very special aunt and will be deeply missed.
Services are pending. We would like to send our appreciation to Joplin Gardens and Gentiva Hospice Care, and a very special lady Sandra Clark. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park of Joplin, MO.
