(From Nichols Funeral Home)William "Clay" C. Shobe, 67, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2024, in Grove, OK.
Born on December 8, 1956 to Jay and Loretta (Burleson) Shobe, Clay graduated from McDonald County High School and embarked on a varied career, initially working at B.F. Goodrich for a decade, then he began Shutterbug Photography and photographed 1000’s of people in Grove over the years.
Most recently working in the electronics department at Walmart, where he greeted everyone with a smile.
Clay was a man of many passions, including riding his Harley Davidson and spending precious moments with his grandchildren. His love for Mt. Dew, Almond Joy, and the joyous times spent telling jokes and having fun were well known among his friends and family. He was also musically talented, playing piano in his free time and in his younger years singing bass.
Clay's life was marked by his kindness, generosity, and the happiness he brought to others, a legacy that will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, Khristi Hardesty (David), son, Travis Shobe (Brianna), grandchildren, Samanthia, Zech, Alex, Gabbie, Elizabeth, Abbie, Bailey, and Lilly, and brother, Doug Shobe (Ella).

He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Bible Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5-7pm Monday, September 30, at Nichols-Stephens Funeral Service.
Donations may be made to Bible Baptist Church youth - Church Camp fund in c/o the funeral home.
