(From Clark Funeral Home)Pamela Ruby Holloway, born on October 6, 1956, in Neosho, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 67. The daughter of Dewey Nims and Wanda Faye Jackson, Pamela lived a life full of love, family, and community dedication.
A proud graduate of East Newton High School, class of 1974, Pamela went on to build a fulfilling life. She married Gene Holloway over 31 years ago, and together they co-owned Pit Stop, a local convenience store, as well as a mobile home park and mini-storage facility. Pamela was a long-standing member of the Newton and McDonald County Cattlemen’s Association, reflecting her deep connection to the agricultural community.
Pamela had a love for shopping, gardening, traveling, helping on the family farms and was celebrated for her outstanding cooking. Her family and friends will always cherish the warmth and care she brought into every meal and gathering.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Gene Holloway; her stepfather, Jerry Smith; her loving daughter, Melissa Abercombie of Palm Desert, California, her step-daughters, Cathy (Chad) Cody of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Jamie (Aaron) Patterson of Goodman, Missouri, and Anita (Gary) Duley of Quapaw, Oklahoma; and her brother, Eddie Clyde Harris of Neosho, Missouri. She also leaves behind a legacy of love in her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family members.
Pamela was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Faye Jackson, and her brother, Samuel Boyd Harris.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri. Funeral services will follow on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. A graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Neosho.
Pamela will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the love she shared and the lives she touched. Beautiful mother and beautiful wife.
