Dale Landreth

Thomas “Dale” Landreth, entered his heavenly home on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO, after a sudden illness, surrounded by his family and a few close friends.

Dale was born May 21, 1954, to Roy Lavern (Red) and Leanor (Philliber) Landreth. He grew up in Newtonia, MO, and Chugiak, AK, as the second oldest brother of five children. Lewie, Dale, Debbie, David and Danny. He graduated from East Newton High School in 1972.

Dale worked numerous jobs throughout his life including working as a mechanic at his shop in Newtonia for 31 years. But the job he loved doing the most was being a father.






 

Dale was a living example of a good and faithful servant. He loved the Lord with every part of his heart, he was also a devoted member of Sweetwater Baptist Church for over 30 years. He prayed every morning, every night, and lived a life of grace, compassion, and love. He knew where he came from, he knew what his purpose was, and he knew where he was going.

Dale is proceeded in death by his parents, Roy and Leanor, and brother-in-law, John Dunlap. Survivors include daughter Melissa Glades, husband Brian Glades, and children Nathan Rylee Glades, Olivia Glades and Vincent Glades of Joplin, MO, and Triston Arivett, wife Sydney of Neosho, MO. Brother Lewie Tomlin, wife Brenda, of Charlotte, SC; brother, David Landreth and son Nicholas Landreth of Newtonia, MO. Sister, Debbie Dunlap, of Neosho, MO and children Jason Broach, wife Virginia, of Wasilla, AK, and, Amy Broach of Neosho, MO. Danny Landreth and wife Marsha, of Newtonia MO. He also leaves behind an extended family, and many cherished friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to our friends at Clarks Funeral Homes. Visitation will be Thursday, September 19th, 2024, at Sweetwater Baptist Church in Neosho, Missouri, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., with the funeral services to immediately follow. Jeremy Bridges and Dale Brashears will officiate.








Burial will be at the Newtonia IOOF Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be: Brian Glades, Nicholas Landreth, Kenneth Moore, Jacob Brashears, Harry Habecker and Triston Arivett.

Honorary Pallbearers are Nathan Rylee Glades, Vincent Glades, Jason Broach, Kyle Broach, Lewie Tomlin, Jarid Girdner, Andrew Miller and Phillip Stanford.
