Duane Johnson

Duane H. Johnson, age 53, of Quapaw, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

Duane was born on November 5th, 1970 in Joplin, MO to his parents Jackie and Nellie (Thomas) Johnson. He worked for Larry-Gary Trucking for many years as an over the road truck driver.

Duane loved to hunt, fish, golf, coach softball, and spend time with his friends and family. Nobody was a stranger to Duane.

Duane is survived by his wife Crystal Johnson; four sisters, Beverly Lett and husband Steve, Jackie McGuirk, Netta Sours and husband Scott, and Christie Thomas; two brothers, Robert Sherman and Brian Thomas; seven children, Chase Mars, Caitlyn Johnson and daughter in-law Jessica Johnson, Cameron Madewell and son in-law Tyler Madewell, Aubrie Dunn-Edwards and son in-law Kiante Edwards, RaySean Corbit and daughter in-law Chloe Corbit, Gracie Johnson, and Deelani Johnson; three grandchildren, Liam and Lauren Corbit and Branch Madewell.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie and Nellie Johnson and two brothers, Danny Joe and Billy Johnson.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, September 27th at Mason-Woodard Mortuary, 3701 E 7th, Joplin, MO 64801 with a burial to follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Joplin, MO.
