(From Knell Mortuary)Robert “Bob” John Bierman, passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2024, at the age of 67 in Fort Scott, Kansas. Born on February 12, 1957, in Elgin, Illinois, the son of the late Wilbert and Elta (Nesler) Bierman. Bob was a man whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of those around him.
Bob was a proud graduate of Larkin High School, class of 1975, where he formed friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime. He was a skilled handyman.
In his younger years, Bob was an avid drag racer, a hobby that spoke to his love for speed and craftsmanship. As time went on, he found solace and joy in working in his shop, where he could often be found creating beautiful woodworking projects. Fishing was another of Bob's passions, providing him with quiet moments of reflection and a chance to be at one with nature.
Above all, Bob cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Jeanne Harloff, whom he married on February 11, 1995. He is survived by his children, Bob Bierman Jr. of Sycamore, Illinois, and Allison Daly (Justin) of Oronogo, Missouri. His role as a grandfather to Nathaniel Olin (Madison), Jenna Kakas, and Cainen Wood, and as a great-grandfather to Deacon Hawkins, brought him immense joy and pride.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katie Wood; his brother, Roger Bierman; and sister Carol Bethke. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his legacy of kindness and craftsmanship will live on through the many lives he touched.
Those who knew Bob will remember him as a friendly, handy, and kind-hearted man. His smile was a source of comfort, and his hands were always extended in help. Bob's presence was a beacon of reliability and affection in the lives of his family and friends.
Per Bob’s wishes there was cremation and private family services will be held at a later date.
