Robert McNabb

Robert Alexander MacNabb, age 87 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015 at his home with his wife by his side.

Robert was born on October 22, 1927 in Joplin to the late Alexander MacNabb and Bessie Haskett. Robert was a 1947 graduate of Joplin High School and spent most of his time between Joplin and Michigan. Robert retired from General Electric, working in the finance department. He was a member of First Community Church in Joplin.

Robert married Wilma Wiedeman on February 25, 2003 and she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include a son, Robert MacNabb II of Hazel Park, MI.; daughters, Rebecca Rohde and husband, Glenn of Downer Grove, IL., Susan Thielen of Royal Oaks, MI.; grandchildren, Katherine Bielby, Robert MacNabb III, Rachel Creech, Ben Rohde, James Rohde, Elizabeth Rohde, Jacob Thielen and Kelly Thielen; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Candice; step children, Diane Storm of Joplin and Tom Hosp and wife, Deby of Jasper; nephews, Neal Campbell, Scott Gegesky; niece, Erin Stewart; many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren that were very special to Robert.

Other than his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Goodrich MacNabb; sisters, Mary Jane Wallace, Bettie Gegesky and Margaret Lampkins.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 6th at 10:30 a.m. at First Community Church in Joplin. Rev. Bob Simon will officiate. Family will receive friends on Monday from 6-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
