Geneva Maxine Barth, 88 years, of Noel, Missouri was called to heaven on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.
She was born on January 20, 1927 in Springfield, Missouri to the late John Marshall and Bertha Frances (Mills) Dodson. Geneva married the love of her life, Thomas Edward Barth and to this union a daughter was born. She moved to Noel, Missouri in 1947 coming from Springfield, Missouri. Geneva enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful cook. She worked several years at the Shiloh Farms Bakery in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas and Hudson Foods Cafeteria in Noel, Missouri. She was a faithful member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church in Noel, Missouri.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Barth; two brothers, Leonard L. Dodson and Ralph Dodson.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Sue Woods and husband, Rick of Noel, Missouri; a brother, Norman Dodson of Golden City, Missouri; two sisters, Betty Alley of Texas and Alice Dodson of Bella Vista, Arkansas; along with a host of other relatives, friends and her loving dog, Missy who will dearly miss Geneva.
Graveside funeral service for Geneva will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. Reverend Marilyn O'Brien will officiate. Visitation will be held on September 30, 2015 at the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home in Noel, Missouri from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The family will receive friends at this time.
