Michael G. “Mike” Robbins, age 75, of Carl Junction, Mo., passed away on Wednesday September 30, 2015, following a sudden illness.
Mike was born on June 22, 1940 in Joplin, the son of the late James and Deola (Niel) Robbins. He has been a lifetime area resident. He married Margaret Ann Russell on November 4, 1961 in Joplin, together they raised two children. He served in the United States Army, the Missouri National Guard and later retiring with the U.S. Naval Reserves. He worked thirty years for Ace Electric in Columbus, Ks. He coached many years of Little League Baseball in Carl Junction. He loved the lake, fishing and cooking. But most importantly, his beloved wife and cherished family.
He is survived by his wife of fifty four years, Margaret Ann Robbins, Carl Junction, Mo., one son, Scot Robbins and wife Michelle, Joplin, Mo.; one daughter, Gina Robbins, Joplin, Mo. and three grandchildren, Morgan Robbins, Kansas City, Mo., Joshua Robbins and Jeremy Robbins, both of Joplin, Mo. and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmie Lee Robbins.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Jeff Jones, Minister will officiate. Burial will be Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 4-5 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Joplin Humane Society or American Heart Association.
