Jerald Byron “Jerry” Wolfe, of Springfield, MO, departed this life on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, in his daughter’s home at the age of 77 years.
He was born on January 10, 1941 in Springfield, MO to Nove Byron and Rosalie (Windes) Wolfe. Jerry graduated from Golden City High School in Golden City in 1959, and attended S.M.S.U. in Springfield. He worked for many years as an architectural hardware consultant. Jerry was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed many hours on the water with family and friends.
Preceding him in death was his father, Byron Wolfe. Survivors include his mother, Rosalie Wolfe of Golden City, MO; his brother, Jim Wolfe and wife Anita of St. Louis, MO; his children, Jeffery Wolfe of Nixa, MO, Julie Ashton and husband Kevin of Springfield, MO, and Jennifer Brake and husband Bill of Battlefield, MO; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Haverly, Emily Roberts, Jake Ashton, Lilly Ashton, Caleb Brake, William Brake, Hailey Brake, Hannah Brake, and Eric Lewis; his nephews, Brian Wolfe, Trevor Wolfe, and Jim Wolfe Jr.; his friend, Marilyn Wolfe; and several very special cousins and many friends.
Jerry had a long and courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. The family would like to give appreciation to Dr. Ellis and staff and also to Hospice Compassus for their care.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday at 12:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Light For The Lost or to the Maple Grove Cemetery.
