Stephen Leroy Jennings, age 66, Neosho, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at his home after a sudden illness.
Stephen was born September 10, 1951 in Neosho to Leroy Jennings and the late Veda Fikes Jennings and had lived in Neosho most of his life.
He worked at AAA Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from 1980 until 2013, retiring as owner and operator. Stephen was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He could fix almost anything and enjoyed fishing anytime he had the chance. Stephen was very well known and will be missed by all who knew him.
Stephen married Karen Utter on March 16, 1973 in Granby. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his children, Kimberly Ruede and husband, Mike, Neosho, Stephanie Jennings, Joplin, Candace McConnaughey and husband, Cody, Neosho, Stephen Patrick Jennings, Joplin; his father, Leroy Jennings, Neosho; siblings, Joyce Musgrave, Neosho, Diane Basinger, Joplin, Keith Jennings, Neosho, Sheryl Hill, Carl Junction, Kevin Jennings, Neosho, David Jennings, Neosho, Dennis Jennings, Goodman, Dena Huff, Goodman, Brian Jennings, Neosho, Jill Larson, Neosho; grandchildren, Tyler Burton and wife, Karyssa, Andrew Burton, Kendal Branham, Kynsey Branham, Noah McConnaughey, Caleb McConnaughey, Lydia McConnaughey; great grandchildren, Claira, Creed, Jameson; and many extended family members.
Graveside services are planned for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Comfort Cemetery. James Keezer will officiate. Military honors will be conducted at the gravesite. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, in care of Parker Mortuary.
