Neva Williams

Neva Marie Williams, Neosho, went to be with her Lord on December 6, 2019. Neva was born February 17, 1921 in Reeds, Missouri, to Truman Martin Cole and Julia Elizabeth (Ryno) Cole.

Neva worked as a secretary at Rocketdyne in Canoga Park, California and later worked at Buddy L Products in Neosho as a secretary until her retirement. She was active in ABWA and was recognized as Woman of the Year. She was a member of Chapter JO PEO, the New Century Study Club, Friends of the Library and the MO Money OK Investment Club. 

Neva was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Neosho and the Presbyterian Women. She had served as an Elder for 16 years; a Deacon for 3 years; Co Treasurer for 9 years and as Chairman of the Stewardship, Building and Property, Fellowship, Outreach and Evangelism Committees. Her hobbies included golf, swimming, reading and playing bridge. Neva was quite the world traveler, having visited China, Japan, Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, Egypt, Australia and New Zealand just to name a few.

She married Harry Williams on December 22, 1940 and he preceded her in death. 

She married Densil Williams on December 6, 1972 and he preceded her in death. 








She is survived by six children, Bob Williams and wife, Dorothy of Neosho, Elena Franks and husband, Vic of Neosho, Sandra Willis and husband, Orville of Madisonville, TN, Alan Williams of Neosho, Dennis Williams and wife, Marilyn of Brownsville, TX and Janice Wood and husband, Dan of Neosho; twelve grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. 

In addition to her spouses, she is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Glen. 

Funeral services for Neva will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Rich Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation Wednesday evening from 5 pm to 6 pm at the Clark Funeral Home. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers or plants, memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Memorial Fund, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850. The family will be at the home of Janice Wood, 1716 Ankney Place, Neosho, MO.
