Carl Kruse

Carl Lee Kruse was born September 18, 1938 in Neosho, Missouri, one of six children to Bryan and Opal (Eller) Kruse. He passed away on May 7, 2020, at the age of 81, after a short illness.

Carl moved from Crowder area to Fairview, Missouri, just as he became school age, and graduated from Fairview High School. He continued his residence in the area as an adult, where he provided for his family as a farmer and carpenter. Carl was known as a neighbor, storyteller and friend to the community of Fairview. 

During his years there, he helped establish and volunteered with the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, served on the Fairview City Council, active project leader in the local 4-H club, coached youth sports, officiated basketball games and attend the Stark City Church of Christ. 

Carl married Betty Jo (Hamilton) on February 16, 1963 and shared 57 years together; she survives. 








He is also survived by one son, Greg Kruse and wife Tami of Fairview, Missouri; one grandson Kelin Kruse and wife Aubrey of Fairview, Missouri; one granddaughter Kasondra Clark and Husband Jason of Stark City, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Porter Kruse, Opal Kruse and Mary Mae Clark; two sisters-in-law, Clista Kruse and Ann Kruse of Neosho, Missouri; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Curtice Kruse, James Kruse and Joe Kruse; and two sisters Imogene Duke and Mary Ann Hill. 

Friends may call Monday, May 11, 2020, at Clarks Funeral Home in Granby, after 10:00am, to sign the register book and pay respects to Carl. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at Clark Funeral Home Granby; the casket will be closed at service time to remain. J.R. Burr will officiate. Interment will follow in Dice Cemetery, Fairview. 

The family has requested contributions be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home, in memory of Carl, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 26, Granby, Missouri 64844.
