Lester Llewellyn Heath Jr., CWO4 (retired) passed away May 13th, 2020 after a long battle with mesothelioma cancer. Lester was a 1957 graduate of Lamar High School and joined the U.S. Navy, retiring after 32 years with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4, his love for the Navy never left him.
Lester was preceded in death by his wives; Dorothy Morris Heath (1975) and Beverly Selman Heath (2005); parents, Lester and Bertha Beulah Heath and a sister Vesta Patrick.
He is survived by his present wife of 14 years, Beverly Brown Heath; a sister Wayna Schwartz; three daughters, Rhonda (Louis) Howell, Tamara (Mike) Cole and Dawn (Myrl) Julian all of the Lamar area; one son, Wayne Heath of Wisconsin; two stepchildren, Eric Brown of Florida and Dr. Kim Fitterling of Bridgeton, MO. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren as well as numerous other family members.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in St. James Cemetery in Milford, MO, with full military honors.
