Art Jordan

Mr. Arthur Eugene "Art" Jordan, 56, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, in the comfort of his home after a recent battle with cancer.

Art entered this life on September 22, 1963, in Joplin, Missouri, son of the late Fred and Verna (Carver) Jordan. He was a lifelong resident of Joplin.

On October 21, 1988, he was united in marriage to Glenda Rickey and together they have shared the last thirty-one years. Art was a heavy equipment operator throughout his life and was employed by Gator Industrial for several years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, music and operating equipment.








Art is survived by his wife, Glenda Jordan of the home; two sons, Arthur Eugene Jordan, Jr., and wife, Brittanie, of Webb City and Timothy Nathanial Jordan and Heather Wilson of Joplin; four grandchildren, Izac, Tristin, Emilia and Calliope; five brothers, Fred, Charles, Russell, Brian and Randy Jordan all of Joplin; two sisters, Ruth James and Janie Cupp also of Joplin; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri with Denny Carver officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Rusty, Bud, Aaron and Chastan Jordan, Mike White and Brendon Swartz. Friends may pay their respects at the mortuary from 10-6:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
