Allene Blanche Anderson, 81 of Joplin, MO passed from this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at West Gate Nursing Facility, Joplin, MO.
Allene was born August 28, 1938 in Gainesville, MO to the union of Cecil Hartley and Opal M. (Duncan) Curtis. Allene graduated from Seneca High School. She was united in marriage to Donald E. Anderson on November 9, 1962 in Miami, OK. Allene worked at Cardinal Scale retiring December 28, 2006. She was devoted to her family and friends, always providing for their needs.
Allene is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe Curtis; sisters, Pearl Durrocher, and Viola Sherman.
Allene is survived by her husband, Donald Anderson of the home; two sons, Charles Anderson and wife Lori, and Donald Anderson Jr.; daughter, Brenda Kay Ford and husband Bob; brother, Bill Curtis; sisters, Verna Hodson, Glenda Black, and Catherine Johnson; along with grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In respect to COVID-19 restrictions the family have private services at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2020 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Following the services Allene has been entrusted to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel with burial of cremains at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
