Ellen T. Stockton was born July 12, 1944 in New York, New York, the daughter of Theodore and Ellen Katherine (Titus) Wagner. She entered into rest on May 20, 2020 in Joplin, following an illness at the age of 75.
Ellen moved to the Southwest Missouri area in 1963 from Kansas City, Missouri and worked as an RN at St. John's, now Mercy Hospital in Joplin. She was a Bible scholar and enjoyed reading, baking and watching Hallmark and John Wayne movies.
Ellen and Charles Curtis Stockton were married on February 27, 1967 in Miami, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2017.
She is survived by three children, Elizabeth Hurn and husband, Michael of Granby, John H. Barnett, III of Granby and Cary Stockton of Neosho; one brother, Edward Laudien, Sr. of Plano, Texas; three sisters, Nancy Monnette of Plano, Texas, Barbara Edwards and husband, James of Dallas, Texas and Dorothy Getsey and husband Michael of Burk, Virginia; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by three siblings.
