Linda Candelaria

Linda Kay Candelaria, age 67, Joplin, passed away at 9:06 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2020 at her home.

Linda was born October 7, 1952 in Joplin to the late George Dalton and Letha Wiloughby Dalton and had lived in Joplin most of her life.

Linda worked as a ward clerk in the medical field, an activity director for local nursing homes, and most recently at KU Medical in housekeeping. Linda enjoyed visiting garage sales; spending money at the local casinos; crocheting and tending to others. She loved people and had a caregiver heart. She cherished the time spent with family and friends and will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

She married Bennie Candelaria in 1979 in Webb City. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2015.








She was also preceded in death by siblings, Kathy Clutts, Sue Florentine, Margarete Erskin and Kenny Dalton.

Survivors include her children, Khrissy Candelaria, Melissa Smith and husband, Gary, Gina Candelaria, Jeff Candelaria, David Candelaria and wife, Tina, all of Joplin; two brothers, Dave Dalton and George Dalton; four grandchildren, Tiffanie, Alyssa, Joseph, Emily; and one great grandchild, Zaveon.

Funeral Services are planned for Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
