Rebecca Jean Hightower, age 54 of Neosho, entered into rest on May 24, 2020 at her home, following a sudden, unexpected illness.
Rebecca was born January 19, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Paul and Carol (McMillian) Cole. She moved to Neosho in 1977 from Kansas City and was a homemaker. Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and also found joy in journaling and photography. She was a member of the Neosho Church of God.
Rebecca and Mike Hightower were married on August 11, 1984 in Neosho and he survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Cindy (Zach) Balch of Neosho, Paul (Natashia) Hightower of Pittsburg, Kansas, Michael (Holly) Hightower of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Regina Hightower and Jacob Hightower, both of the home; seven grandchildren, Zech, Colton, Wyatt, Levi and Uriah Balch and Kalani and Declan Hightower; her mother, Carol (James) Jantz of Bethany, Oklahoma and five brothers, Clifford (Vonda) Cole of Seneca, Orin (Retha) Cole of Bartlett, Kansas, Kevin (Lynette) Cole of Edna, Kansas, Ronald (Lori) Cole of Neosho and Paul 'Butch' (Sheila) Cole of Neosho.
She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Cole.
