Jameson "James" Lee Woods, age 47, of Pierce City, MO died on Friday, May 22, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Monett, MO on Wednesday, May 09, 1973. He was the son of Dorothy Woods. James graduated from Pierce City High School in 1991 and then enrolled in the Marines.
Mr. Woods married Julie Hoeffner on Saturday, July 10, 2004 in Elkhart, KS. He was a carpenter, enjoyed building things, and was mechanical. James was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He liked to play video games and enjoyed relaxing at home. He spent many hours fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children.
Surviving are the following: his wife, Julie of the home; three sons, Kyle (Taylor) Woods of Clever, MO, Luther Woods of Springfield, MO, and Ashton Woods of Pierce City, MO; two daughters, Haylee Woods and fiancé, Josh Thomas, of Yukon, OK; and Bethany Woods of Pierce City, MO; two grandchildren, Avery and Rylee Woods of Clever, MO; a grandbaby on the way of Yukon, OK; his mother, Dorothy (Woods) Clinkingbeard and Robert of Ulysses, KS; one brother, Joseph Woods of Neosho, MO; and a mother-in-law, Linda Hoeffner of Ulysses, KS.
James has been cremated at his request. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on June 5, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
