Teresa Lynell Martin was born to Connie and Gary Martin on August 30,1967 in Springfield, Missouri and carried back to Heaven on the arms of Angels on May 17, 2020.
Teresa attended Joplin Schools from Kindergarten to Graduation from Joplin Memorial High School. She received a degree from Crowder College and took classes at the University of Oklahoma at Norman, where all things O.U. became a lifetime passion.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church. She was known for her generosity. Accepting of everyone and judging no one.
The greatest joy in her life was her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Martin; her grandparents, Dorothy Turner, John Roy Turner, and Esta Lee Chander Turner, all of Diamond, MO, and Balfrey and Lucille Martin of Oklahoma City, OK.
Survivors include her mother, Connie Martin of Carthage; her brother, Jon Martin and wife Sara of Joplin and children Josie and Lily; her brother, Lance Martin and wife Erin of Carthage and children Levi, Evelyn and Beau; and Godmother, Patricia Hazelwood, of Knoxville, TN.
A special recognition to Tammy Kimbrough, Moore, OK, Chris Deitrick, Oklahoma City, OK, Kelly Hall, Ozark, MO, David Vaini, Springfield, MO, and her beloved pet, Flash the Wonder Dog.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Church of the Nazarene at 2000 S. Grand, Carthage. The family visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Church prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City. Those who are attending are encouraged to wear red and white and certainly O.U. attire is welcomed.
In lieu of flowers, a letter with a special memory of Teresa would be cherished.
