(From Lockwood Funeral Chapel)Donald Keith Blackford, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility at the age of 91.
He was born on December 31, 1928 in Red Oak, MO to George and Pearl (Clyman) Blackford. Donald graduated from Lockwood High School.
He was united in marriage to Erma Louise Pennington on April 4, 1948 in Avilla, MO. Donald was a member of the Lockwood United Methodist Church. He had owned and operated Blackford’s Small Engine for many years in Lockwood.
Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Pearl Blackford; his wife, Erma Blackford; and his sister, Marvelle Gerry.
Survivors include his son, David Blackford and wife Debbie of Lockwood, MO; two daughters, Barbara Stivers and husband Dan of Ozark, MO and Caroline Versteeg and husband Martin of Rogersville, MO; five grandchildren, Shawna Harrison and husband Jason, Carissa Tate and husband Chad, Jeffrey Stivers and wife Jaque, Tonya Versteeg; and Trina Wilcox and husband David; and three great-grandchildren, Bethany McNeece, Lillian Tate, and Violet Tate.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2020, in Lockwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood United Methodist Church. Services are under the care of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
