(From Simpson Funeral Home)Lee Anthony “Tony” Herrin passed on September 4, 2020 in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 61.
Tony is survived by his wife Paula of the home and sister Cheryl Ann Macias, Abilene, Texas. Tony left behind his daughter Crystal Bard, husband Bryan of Webb City and their children Kylee, Bryson and Zoey of Webb City, his son Levi Herrin, wife Ashley of Savannah, Georgia and their children Adaline, Lincoln and Lyndon, and so many loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Donald Herrin and Dixie Lee Davis of Goodman, Missouri and his brother James Scott Herrin also of Goodman.
Tony was born on September 9, 1958 in Joplin, Missouri. His family moved to many cities while he was growing up and he graduated high school in Birmingham, Alabama. He was one history class shy of graduating from Crowder College with a degree in Computer Science.
He married his sweetheart, Paula Jean Hargrave in 1978.
Tony worked for Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Company for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gaming, ballgames, cheering for Alabama, OU, Chiefs and the Royals. Tony also greatly enjoyed attempting to catch fish, spending days on the lake with his buddy Bob. However nothing gave him more pleasure in life than spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Tony will lay in wake at Simpson Funeral Home Thursday, September 10 from 8-4 for viewing. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 11 at 10:30am and the funeral will follow at 12:00pm at Christ Church of Oronogo. Levi Herrin and Ken Ansley will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tony's life.
