(From Ozark Funeral Home)David Ray Smith, 73, of Anderson, Missouri departed this life on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Medicalodge in Neosho, Missouri.
David was born March 11, 1949 in LeRoy, Kansas to the late Thurman and Pearl (Wright) Smith.
David proudly served in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. In January of 1969 David married Nancy Roberts and to them was born Johnathan David and Paul Dwyane. After the passing of Nancy in 2005, David then married Deborah Catron and they remained together until her passing in February 2022.
David owned and operated Dave’s Roofing in Claremore, Oklahoma before moving to Westville, Oklahoma where he was a truck driver for over thirty years for Cargill Egg. David was a member of the Holiness Church in Anderson, Missouri. He became “Uncle Dave” to everyone he met.
David was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy and son Dwayne and second wife Deborah.

David is survived by his son, Johnathan David of Sedalia, Missouri, and a half sister Teresa of Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services with full military honors for Mr. David Ray Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Ozark Funeral Home, Anderson, Missouri, with Brother Dan Roberts and Brother Danny Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Westville Cemetery in Westville, Oklahoma. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Roberts, Danny Roberts, Shawn Forster, Jason Smart, Jr. Childers and Gary Peters and honorary pallbearer Brother Danny Hughes.
