(From Parker Mortuary)Anna Louise Nothnagle, age 81, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at her home.
Anna was born April 3, 1941 in Pearland, Texas, daughter of the late Marvin Armstrong and Imogene (Watson) Armstrong Bryson.
Anna grew up in Missouri, attending Joplin Schools, and graduating from Seneca High School before going to Crowder College and then Missouri Southern State College.
She was a member of Saginaw Baptist Church, and enjoyed volunteering with the Freeman Auxiliary, and was President of Surviving Spouses for several years. She was also an avid golfer, and was a member of the Joplin Women’s Golf Association. She enjoyed playing at the Schifferdecker Golf Course and also the Loma Linda Country Club. When her children were in grade school at Seneca Elementary she enjoyed volunteering as a room mother.
She has travelled extensively throughout her life and visited many states pulling a camper trailer with her family, and later in life visited Germany, Scotland, Ireland, England, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and especially loved spending time with her children while they were growing up. She was a joy to be around, whitty, smart and loved by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Everett “Nocky” Nothnagle who passed away on 1995.

She is survived by her children, Gene Nothnagle and wife Donna of Muskogee, OK, Rachell Hogue and husband Roger of Eufaula, OK, Kevin E. Nothnagle of Hornet, MO, Lee Nothnagole and wife Amber of Diamond, MO;
seven grandchildren, Nick Nothnagle and wife Loucy of Muskogee OK, Nicole Wiedel and husband Mitchell of Muskogee OK, James Tatgenhorst of Eufaula, OK, Haley Lundry of Granby, MO, Courtney Crain of Goodman, MO, Amber Nothnagle of Joplin, and Paige Lundry of Diamond, MO; nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. John Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
