Greg Ruark

Gregory Raydean “Greg” Ruark, age 52, of Stella, Missouri, passed away at 9:24 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born February 19, 1970, in Webb City, Missouri, to the late William “Ray” and Donna Jean (Sams) Ruark. 

Greg was a 1988 graduate of Neosho High School and graduated from Crowder College in 1990. On June 28, 1991, he married Lori Lynn Spencer at the Burch Baptist Church in Neosho.

Greg was a lifelong area resident, and he and Lori lived in Stella for the past 26 years. He was a former pipe superintendent for Branco Enterprises, Inc. for 25 years and was a cattle and sheep farmer. He enjoyed “coon” and squirrel hunting, farm life, attending and participating in the Newton County Fair with Spencer, and spending time with his family.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 31 years, Lori, and son, Spencer Ruark, of the home; one sister, Jennifer Ruark-Webb and her husband, Scott of Neosho; three nephews, Trevor Ruark and his fiancé, Kalyn, Mason Webb, and his fiancé, Faith and Cody Webb and his wife, Krista; mother-in-law, Cathy Spencer of Stella; brother-in-law, Chad Spencer and his wife, Tracy of Neosho; nephews Bradley Spencer and his wife, Jessica and Garrett Spencer, and niece, Jordan Spencer and her fiancé, Preston, and a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, his father-in-law, Larry Spencer, and grandparents, Argel Sams, Ruby Ruark, and Junior and Opal Spencer, preceded him in death.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Macedonia Cemetery in Stella, with Pastor Doug Gripka officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri.
