(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Lavene Rayma Redden of Riverton, KS passed from this life Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at her home. She was 71.
Rayma was born November 14, 1950 in Miami, OK to Arthur “Ott” Calvin and Lavene May (Reynolds) Smith. She had lived in Picher til 2008 moving to Riverton, KS. She graduated from Picher – Cardin High School class of 1968 and received her Associate’s Degree in Business from N.E.O A. & M. College in Miami.
Rayma had worked for Bowers Insurance Agency in Miami, First State Bank in Picher, OK, N.E.O. A&M College Bookstore in Miami and for Quapaw Nation Childcare Development Fund Program as Resource and Referral Assistant. She was a member of Crossroads Christian Church in Baxter Springs, KS.
Rayma was preceded in death by an infant son, Cody Jack Redden, son-in-law, Travis Gray, her parents, one brother, Arthur Daile Smith and one niece, Stacy Dawn Smith.
Survivors include her husband Jack Redden of the home, 2 daughters, Amy Gray of Columbus, KS and Rayma Phillips and husband Michael of Webb City, MO, 1 brother, Lyndell Smith of Bloomfield, NM, 4 grandchildren Macy Gray, Luke Gray, Halle Gray and Carly Phillips, and nephews and nieces Tink Smith and wife JoQuita of Quapaw, OK, Daile Duane Smith of Bloomfield, NM and Lori Ward of Hartwell, GA.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 at Crossroads Christian Church in Baxter Springs, KS. Rev. Cameron Woodring and Rev. Kyle Anderson will officiate. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, SW of Columbus, KS.
Tink Smith, Michael Phillips, Jarrett Smith, Luke Gray, Garrett Peak and Justin Plott will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK.
