Roy Edward Hamilton, 80, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 in Carthage, Missouri. Roy was born October 13, 1941 in Carthage, Missouri to Fred Hamilton and Pauline (Russow) Hamilton. 

Roy was a lifetime resident of Carthage. He loved spending time with his family, watching old western movies, enjoyed a good laugh and had a competitive spirit.

Roy is survived by one son, Mike Hamilton of Rock Hill, South Carolina; four daughters, Glenda Kingsbury and her husband, Tony, of Carthage, Missouri, Laura Miller of Springfield, Missouri, Michelle Bowden of Rutledge, Georgia, and Natalie Hamilton of Joplin, Missouri; three brothers, Dale Hamilton of Carthage, Missouri, David Crisman of Joplin, Missouri and Virgil Denayer, Jr. of Aurora, Missouri; four sisters, Katherine Smith of Carthage, Missouri, Phyllis Talley of Carthage, Missouri, Donna Baker of Carterville, Missouri and Barbara Hunziker of Joplin, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Hamilton and Pauline (Russow) Denayer; his step-dad, Virgil Denayer; one brother, Doug Danayer; and three sisters, Susie Nally, Caroline Brewer and Connie Crisman.

Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Burial will be at Fasken Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri.
