(From Parker Mortuary)Sharon Stribling of Joplin, MO, age 83 joined her husband Charles in Heaven on May 31st, 2022 after a long illness.
Sharon was born on August 13, 1938 in Monett, Missouri to George and Alma Rohrbough. She graduated from Monett High School.
She met her future husband Charles in Monett and later moved to Joplin, MO where she raised 5 daughters. Along the way Sharon was part of their family business Stribling Foreign Car Parts and Rebuilders.
Sharon was never one to sit still, whether it was vacationing in the southwest with her family or traveling to her beloved Texas to Christmas shop in Dallas with her girls. At home she kept busy gardening and turning her swimming pool area into an oasis filled with all kinds of beautiful tropical plants.
After losing almost everything in the 2011 Joplin tornado, Sharon was busy with the cleanup and relocation, within a couple weeks the Stribling's were in a new home and Sharon set about making it hers. With the large deck and backyard Sharon again brought beauty to the new place with her passion for gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stribling.
Sharon is survived by her five daughters, Linda Frazier (Danny), Joni Larson (Darrell), Connie Harmon (Rodney), Jackie Snyder (Steve), Cindy Maloney (Jon). Nine grandchildren, Carman, Travis, Angie, Jeremy, Chris, Jerrad, Amber and Jack. Four greatgrandchildren, Kaiden, Brent, Devin and Autumn
An open viewing will be held 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 3rd. A private burial will be held at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Brian officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made out to the American Cancer Society.
