(From Clark Funeral Home)Cecil Alwyn Bragg was called home to be the Lord on October 31, 2022 at his home, with his family at his side at the age of 86. Cecil was born April 6, 1936 in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico the son of Aurel B. and Sarah M. (Tschoepe) Bragg.
He worked for a year as a miner in the uranium mines in Grants, New Mexico and at the age of 18, began a forty four year career with the railroad as a conductor and brakeman, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed traveling and traveled for twenty years before relocating in the Longview, Missouri area.
Cecil was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing at the Treasure Lake Resort in Branson. After moving to Longview, he enjoyed going to the Longview Café for breakfast and coffee and sharing his life experiences with his friends. He was a member of the Stella Baptist Church.
Cecil is survived by three children, Vickie Guinn and husband, Klint of Stella, Missouri; Sharon Perkins and husband, Jim of Joplin, Missouri and Roy Bragg and wife, Ebbie of Granby, Missouri; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and numerous other family and many friends.
On Friday, November 4, 2022, funeral services will be held at the Stella Baptist Church at 10 am, the family will reeeive friends at a time of visitation from 9 am until service time. Pastor Joe Brattin and Pastor Roger Morey will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Bragg, Ronnie Wise, Arthur Garcia, Aaron Neher, Brad Fields and Roger Harvey.
