(From Clark Funeral Home)Ray Ernest Merriman, age 93, of Seneca, Missouri, passed away at 5:51 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at his home. He was born October 23, 1929, in Cherryvale, Kansas, to the late Bryant and Ann (York) Merriman.
On November 27, 1947, he married Delpha June Drake in Neosho. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2022.
Ray worked as a truck driver for Southwest Lime Company for many years and co-owned and operated M&M Stone, retiring in the late 1990s. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family and mowing his yard.
He is survived by his three children, Gary Merriman and his wife, Marilyn of Sebring, Florida, Evelyn Meredith and her husband, Jess of Neosho, Missouri, and Raymon Merriman and his wife, Julie of Neosho, Missouri; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the New Salem Cemetery west of Neosho, with Raymon Merriman officiating. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho.
