Wesley Turner

Wesley Eugene Turner, age 72, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 12:36 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. He was born May 26, 1950, in Stockton, Missouri, the son of Paul Marion and Dorothy Lucille (Thompson) Turner.

Wesley was a lineman for Ozark Electric Company for 30 years. He was a farmer, baled hay commercially, was a driver for the Amish and a member of the Chesapeake Baptist Church.








Wesley is survived by three daughters, Lisa Cole and her husband, Kevin, of Bolivar, Missouri, Casey Zent and her husband, Clint, of Mt. Vernon, and Cara Foglesong and her husband, Tony, of Carl Junction, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Bryce Cole, Wyatt Viles, Peyton Cole, Ava Zent, Cotter Zent, Corbin Foglesong and Carter Foglesong; one sister, Pam Turner of Success, Missouri; three brothers, Mike Turner of Raymondville, Missouri, Wilbur Turner of Roby, Missouri and Tommy Turner of Arkansas and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many beloved friends.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Paul, and Dorothy; one brother, Denny Ray Turner; one sister, Paula Hurst and two sons.








A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be held at the Sunset Cemetery in Success, Missouri.
