Anette Fields

Anette Hill-Fields, age 63, Joplin, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at her home with family at her side.

Anette was born August 17, 1959 in Joplin, daughter of the late Clair Mae (Rodgers) Hill and James Hill of Joplin. She grew up in Joplin and graduated from Memorial High School before earning her degree in nursing from Missouri Southern State College. 

She worked as a nurse for Spring River Christian Center for some time before going to work for Silver Creek Senior Living where she retired in 2014 as the Director of Nursing. 








She was also involved with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Joplin. She was dedicated to her nursing profession but was also a fun loving person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her mother, Anette was preceded in death by a daughter, Raven Nichol Fields; a sister, Elizabeth Hudson; and two brothers, Alvin Hill and Tommy Hill.








Survivors include her son, Jason Fields of Joplin; grandchildren, Jonah Fields and Abriana Cozad; her father, James Hill of Joplin; brothers, James Anthony Hill, Lionel Hill, Stephen Hill, Michael Hill all of Joplin; sisters, Janesetta Rogers of Grand Prairie, TX and Mary Jean Hill of Irvin, TX; and her twin sister, Anise Hill of Joplin; many nieces and nephews including her special nephew, Joey Hill of Independence, MO.

Private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.

  1. What a fantastic girl she was!! If you met Anette once, you never would forget her!! I worked with her at Dr. office and then again for the same company that own Silver Creek. She was a blast to be around and always so supportive. My heart goes out to all she left behind. But now she is healthy and with Raven!!

  3. It was a blessing to meet Annette at the Cancer Center as a fellow patient. I just spoke with her a few months ago with her sister. Prayers for comfort to her sister and family.
