(From Knell Mortuary)Blake Turner Cameron, age 57, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born on October 14, 1965, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, the son of Bradley Cameron and Judy (Frantz) Cameron. He was a 1984 graduate of Carthage High School, and then attended Southwest Missouri State. Blake was employed with Pittsburg State University for several years.
He married Kristy Shields in July of 1991. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage, Missouri. He loved golf, guitars, music, and was a sports enthusiast, especially St. Louis Cardinals baseball and OU football.
He is survived by his daughter, Ivy Cameron and fiancé Kory Yeager, Grain Valley, Missouri; his mother, Judy Hutchison, Carthage, Missouri; brother, Bret Cameron, Carthage, Missouri; two aunts, Vicki Fieker, and Kim Hess (Bob); and many cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bradley Cameron; stepmom, Dana Cameron, ex-wife, Kristy Shields; and uncle, Ron Fieker.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm, Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage, Missouri. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
