(From Ulmer Funeral Home)George Ivan “Junior” Steinburg Jr., 83, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, in Joplin, Missouri. Junior was born March 18, 1940, in Ashland, Kansas to George Steinburg Sr. and Lila (McConnell) Steinburg. Junior worked for Innovative Industries for several years.
Junior is survived by his son, Richard “Rick” Steinburg (Zee) of Fairfield, California; four grandchildren, Emily, Julianna, Harper, and Maverick; one great grandchild on the way; one brother, Donald Steinburg of Grove, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.
Junior is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lila Steinburg Sr.; one brother, Kenneth Steinburg; and his sister, Glenda Sammis.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Carterville Cemetery in Carterville, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023, prior to the graveside service at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. George (Junior) he was a kind and generous old soul. Loved to hear stories from when he was younger. Will miss him. RIP Mr. George. So long until I see you again
