Larry Buehler

Lawrence George Buehler, age 86, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully at 11:17 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at NHC Health Care in Joplin. He was born June 12, 1936, in Aurora, Missouri, the son of August “Gus” and Zelma (Logan) Buehler.

Larry was a 1956 graduate of Aurora High School in Aurora and was a United States Army Veteran. He was the proud owner of Ozarks Souvenirs on Hwy 44 near Sarcoxie, Missouri. 








Larry was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan, he was fascinated in Civil War and Native American history, and he was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Joplin, Missouri.

Larry is survived by his son, Eric Buehler and his wife, Carrie, of Joplin, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brett Buehler and Derrick Buehler, both of Joplin, Missouri, Christine Bright and her husband, Jeremy, of Golden City, Missouri, Amanda Buehler and Chris Buehler, both of Joplin, Missouri and Zach Buehler of Marshfield, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Layla Kessler and Mason Bresee of Golden City, Missouri, Michael Fink, Miley Fink and Miya Buehler, all of Joplin, Missouri and Nuala Shields of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Hershel Buehler of Aurora, Missouri and several nieces, nephews and great friends.








Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Gus, and Zelma; son, James Gregory Buehler and three brothers, Gerold, Eugene and James "Jimmie" Buehler.


A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Aurora, Missouri.
