(From Clark Funeral Home)Mary Lynn Burr, age 88 of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, entered into rest on July 2, 2022 at the Lake Stockton Health Care Center. Mary was born April 8, 1934 in Stella, Missouri, one of ten children to Raymond and Mary Ola (Nunn) Durham.
Following graduation from Anderson High School, she worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell in Neosho and later transferred to Kansas City, Missouri.
After raising her children, she worked as a secretary at the Social Security Administration in Kansas City. In 1988, she and her husband relocated to El Dorado Springs, Missouri from Kansas City.
Mary was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, flowers, nature, feeding and watching birds and most importantly, sharing time with family.
On November 7, 1953 in Anderson, Missouri, Mary and Bythol Burr were united in marriage and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2016, after 62 years of marriage.
Mary is survived by two children, Stephen Burr and wife, Janet of Green Valle, Arizona and Cheryl Lusk of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; two grandchildren, Stephanie Burr and Dalton Lusk and a brother, Jerry Durham of South Carolina.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Burr and eight siblings. Services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 2 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, J. R. Burr will officiate. Interment will follow in the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until service time Thursday prior to the service.
