Frederick ‘Bud’ Harold Smotherman, 92, Neosho, died November 17, 2014 in Neosho, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Smotherman was born May 16, 1922 in Mountain View, Missouri, the son of Ralph Clayton and Leota Faye (Ellis) Smotherman. He spent the early part of his life in Colorado before returning to Missouri. Mr. Smotherman was a self-employed cattle and horse farmer as well as a security guard. He had also worked at Silver Dollar City. He is survived by three children, Vickie Clock, Mike Smotherman and Bill Smotherman; numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Rick Smotherman and Bradley Smotherman; one sister, Viola Sickelbower; and one brother, Archie Smotherman.
THE BODY WILL BE CREMATED AND THE CREMAINS WILL BE INTERRED AT THE NEOSHO MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY AT A LATER DATE.
