Paul LeRoy High, age 94 of Joplin, Missouri passed away Tuesday November 11, 2014 at National Healthcare following an illness.
He was born March 14, 1920 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Earl and Viola (Bottenfield) High.He grew up around Cedar Rapids and worked as a farm hand. He then worked for the City of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He moved to Joplin, Missouri and was employed with the City of Joplin.
Paul is survived by 2 sons; Rick High, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jerry High, Phoenix, Arizona, 5 daughters; Linda Curtis, Jackie Lewis, Darla Gundeison, Lori High, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sandy Chambers, Galena, Kansas.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary chapel with Reverend Jarel Burnside officiating. Burial will follow at Osborne Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Monday prior to the service.
