(From Daniel Funeral Home)Robert Wayne Leaming, age 63, of Jasper, Missouri passed away September 4, 2020, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Robert was born April 18, 1957 in Webb City, MO to Leo Don Leaming and Catherine Jane (Anderson) Leaming. On February 11, 2017, Robert married Kathy Suzette Bailey in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Robert worked as a truck driver for H.E. Williams, was a member of the Brotherhood of Bikers and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper. Robert was an exceptional football player that earned him all-conference and all-state defensive end accolades. He was a doting husband, super hero of a Dad and the best Papaw a kid could ask for.
Survivors include his wife Kathy, two daughters; Heather (Chris) Miller, of Alba, MO, and Lindsey (Travis) Hoke of Joplin, MO, two sons; John (Tynee) Johnson and 3 children of Branson, MO and Danny Johnson and 2 children of Joplin, MO, his Mother; Catherine Leaming of Jasper, one brother; Dale Leaming of Jasper and one grandson; Nathaniel (aka Monster) Miller of Alba, MO.
Preceding Robert in death were his father, Don Leaming and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Daniel Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the funeral home.
