(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Marilyn Marie Turner, age 72 of Sarcoxie, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Linwood and Nona Houck on October 11, 1950.
A secretary at Wildwood Elementary for twenty years, Marie was known for her kindness and great humor. Always ready to go on an adventure, Marie enjoyed traveling far and wide going to basketball games, visiting new places, or simply taking in a shopping trip with her daughters.
She was known for her many talents from oil paintings, sewing, cooking and all the crafts in between. She loved going to garage sales with her husband and hiding their newly obtained "treasures" in her children's houses.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of nearly fifty-five years, Larry Turner; their three daughters, Janelle Griffey, Lisa Graber and husband, Mark, and Pamela Baldwin and her husband, Nicholas; three brothers, Frank Houck, Lin Houck, and Walter Houck. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Garrett Griffey, Chloe Graber, Taylor Baldwin and many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her parents, Linwood and Nona Houck, her brother, Vernon Houck, her niece Becky Houck, and granddaughter, Vanessa Baldwin.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Filsinger officiating. Burial to follow at Vanburen Cemetery, Wentworth, MO.
Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are David Turner, Mike Turner, Garrette Griffey, Matt Houck, Mark Garber and Nicholas Baldwin. Honorary pallbearers will be John Houck, Scott Gilbreath, Austin Turner, Wendell Wycuff and Cody Turner. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in Marie's honor, to the Carthage Avalon Hospice or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
