(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Ralph Eugene Cure, age 73 of Galena, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO.
Ralph was born in Galena, KS on November 16, 1948 to the union of William "Bill" Cure and Opal Christine (Olds) Cure. He spent time working for Beechner Aircraft in Wichita, KS, and after returning to the area, operated the 905 Liquor Store in Joplin, MO. He enjoyed spending time in nature, especially hunting and fishing.
He is survived by one son, Robert Cure of Galena, KS; two daughters, Carrie Cure of Garland, KS, and Courtney Cure of Joplin, MO; and 9 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Carolyn Sue Hatton.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena, KS. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
