(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Sandra Charlene Palmer was born in Parsons, Kansas on February 23rd, 1953 to parents, Clarence Card & Julia Mae Palmer.
As a young adult, Sandra moved to Springfield, Missouri where she attained her nursing license and worked as an LPN for several years. She eventually returned to Joplin, Missouri where she raised her son, Julian Palmer.
Sandra was accepted unto Christ and remained a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Joplin, Missouri.
For so many of us, Sandra was the example of strength, steadfastness & resilience - to know her was to be blessed. Through the years, her unconditional love blessed many people who came to rely on her wisdom, kindness, compassion and sound advice.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her Son, Julian Palmer and Son-in-Law, Tom Schmitt both from Chicago, Illinois. A Nephew she raised as a Son, Brandon Willis of Columbia, Missouri. Aunt, Atrice Palmer. Nephews, Vincent McGee & Albert Mcgee. Nieces, Lynn McGee & Angela Iverson all of Joplin. A very special Cousin, Donald Hoops & Best Friend, Sharon Shockley of Joplin as well as a host of Great Nieces, Great Great Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Family & Friends.
Sandra departed from this life October 27th, 2022 in Joplin, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her loving Parents, Clarence Carson & Julia Mae Palmer, her Sister Patricia Iverson, Niece Casandra Iverson & Great Niece Amber McGee.
Services will be held at 10AM Saturday, November 5th 2022, at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 204 N School Ave, Joplin Mo.
