Charles Ogden

Charles E. Ogden, Sr., age 89, of Joplin, passed away on November 2, 2022, at his home, following an illness.

Charles was born on September 30, 1933, in Carthage, MO, the son of Revere and Ethel (Campbell) Ogden. He has been a lifetime area resident. He served in the United States Army National Guard. 

He married Ann Searles on March 10, 1957, and together they were blessed with one son. She preceded him in death. He then married Lori Zimmerman Haines on February 2, 2001.








He worked as a self-employed Cabinet Maker. He also worked at the water treatment plant for a coal power plant. He was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed woodworking and metal scrapping. He was also a member of the Carpenter’s Union.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Ogden, Joplin; one son, Charles Ogden, Jr. and wife Dolores, Duenweg, MO; a daughter, Crystal Kohler and husband Larry, Joplin; two brothers, Marion Ogden and wife Mary, Joplin, and Dean Ogden, Joplin; one sister, Ellen Vail, Tucson, AZ; three grandsons and five granddaughters.








Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Faith Assembly of God Church. Pastor Grant Curtis will officiate. Burial will be in Fasken Cemetery. The visitation will be 10-11:00 a.m. Monday at the Church, prior to the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Assembly of God Church in care of the mortuary.
