Rhonda Frisby

(From Simpson Funeral Home)

Rhonda Jo (Marsh) Frisby, born on April 15th , 1962, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Roger and Louise (Newby) Marsh, passed away on June 8th , 2023, surrounded by her family.

She married Richard Frisby on June 18th , 1982, they had four daughters, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Rhonda was an incredible, strong woman who loved her family and friends fiercely. She was proud of all of their achievements big or small and she would tell anyone she met how amazing her daughters and grandchildren were and their most recent accomplishments.

Rhonda spent most of her career taking care of children and adults with developmental disabilities and she was remarkable at it. She started an in-home daycare in 2006 and over the last 16 years became “Meemaw” to every child that came into her home. She had a special connection with children that allowed her to bring out the best in them and helped them to reach milestones that others could not.

Calling at 5 AM every birthday to sing Happy Birthday and be the first person you talk to. Talking for
hours and hours about birthdays and Christmas to pick the exact present that fits a person’s personality and taste, and then watching with anticipation to make sure they love it. Calling all the grandkids after their first day of school to make sure they liked their teachers and had friends in their class. Bringing popsicles, juice, soup, or medicine when you are sick. These are just a few of the little things she did for her family that will be missed.

“Her absence is like the sky, spread over everything.”

-C.S. Lewis.

Rhonda was an avid supporter of the Webb City Cardinals. She enjoyed cheering on every team whether sports or academics. Rhonda enjoyed volunteering to help support the WC Cardinal programs any way she could.

Rhonda is survived by her husband Richard of Webb City, daughters Britney (Omari) Jackson of Webb City, Stephanie (Jerad) Wilson of Carterville, Michelle (Larry) Wald of Carterville, Kylie Frisby of
