Jill Holman LeCompte, age 60, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on November 14, 1965, in Monett, Missouri, the daughter of Calvin and Delphia Lorene (Perme) Holman. On May 15, 1987 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Michael Zane LeCompte, I, who preceded her in death on November 4, 2020. Also preceding her in death were her mother, Del Holman and her sister, Terri Edna Holman.
Surviving are her father, Calvin Holman of Cassville; her son, Michael “Zane” LeCompte, II and his wife Jillian of Cassville; daughters, Victoria Zane Henbest and her husband Drew of Cassville, and Jillian Micol LeCompte of Cassville; brothers, Rod Holman and his partner Gwyn Plumlee of Exeter, Audy Holman and his wife Bettie of Cassville, and Stuart Holman and his wife Diana of Cassville; sister, Calla Bacon of Exeter; her precious grandchildren, Bonnie Zane Henbest, Jillie Sue Henbest, Calvin Michael Henbest and Madelyn Elise LeCompte and many nieces and nephews.
Jill was raised in Cassville, where she graduated from Cassville High School. She went on to pursue her education at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, earning a Specialist in Educational Leadership degree. Jill devoted her career to serving her community in many capacities. She dedicated many years to the Cassville School System, first as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal positions, and later as assistant superintendent, leaving a lasting impact on countless students, colleagues, and families.
In addition to her work in education, Jill served as the county clerk and was the owner of Michael’s Hardware, where she poured her heart into supporting and strengthening her community. She also served on the Cassville School Board, continuing her lifelong commitment to education and the people of Cassville.
She found happiness in the simple and meaningful moments in life. Jill was an enthusiastic supporter of Razorback athletics, faithfully watching games and cheering on her team. She loved spending time outdoors, taking pride in yard work, land improvement, and beautification projects.
The holidays held a special place in her heart, as they brought her family together—times she cherished deeply. She also enjoyed watching The Wizard of Oz, collecting Cassville school memorabilia, blow molds, rocks, and extravagant handbags, as well as relaxing with a good book by the pool in the warmth of the sun.
Above all, Jill’s greatest love was her family. She cared for them with unwavering devotion. Her presence brought comfort, strength, and joy to those closest to her. Jill was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, where her spirit of kindness and service was evident to all. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will be treasured always.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 11, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Cassville, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Cassville.
