(From Peterson Funeral Chapel)Paul Edward Dobbins, 86, of Carthage passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on April 2, 2026. He was born on November 29, 1939, in Joplin to Jonathan J. Dobbins and Rose (Larimer) Dobbins.
Paul spent many years working as an office manager at Allied Refeigeration, where he was known for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. He was a proud graduate of Joplin High School, Class of 1957. Paul was a member of Avilla Baptist Church, where his faith and sense of community were important parts of his life.
He was united in marriage to June (Thomas) Dobbins in 1991, and together they shared many years of companionship and love.
Paul is survived by his children: Don Dobbins (wife Brandi) of Belton; Mike Dobbins (wife Cathy) of Carthage; Connie Cornish (husband Abe) of Edmond, OK; Steve Chadd (wife Susan) of Deerfield; and Doug Chadd (wife Lori) of Nevada. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Jo Ann Baker, Jon David Dobbins, and Sharon Zumwalt; one grandson; and two great-grandsons; and other beloved family members.
Paul will be remembered for his kindness, devotion to family, and the steady presence he provided to those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 10 to noon at the Avilla Baptist Church.
