(From Fohn Funeral Home)Barrett Adam “Barry” McGarigle, age 62, of Purdy, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at his home.
He was born on December 16, 1963 in Wichita, Kansas, to Mr. and Mrs. Harry McGarigle, who preceded him in death.
Barry grew up in Wichita, where he attended school graduating from Wichita Heights High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, spending two years stationed in San Diego, California.
After completing his military service, Barry returned to Wichita and began working in the shipping department for Hiland Dairy. He later moved to Cassville, Missouri, to assist his mother. During this time, while attending church services at Merl’s Chapel, he met Royce Pauline Brown and they were united in marriage on January 15, 2005. Barry later worked as a shipping supervisor for George’s, retiring in 2012.
In his free time, Barry found enjoyment in watching NASCAR and was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, rarely missing a chance to cheer them on.
He is survived by his wife, Royce Pauline McGarigle; his son, Brentt McGarigle of Oklahoma; and other family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Memorial services to honor Barry will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
