(From Midland Cremation Society)Robert Henry MacAfee, 67, of Anderson, Missouri, passed away on April 12, 2026, after a long battle with end-stage heart failure. Born on October 15, 1958, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, to Judith (Smith) and Norman MacAfee Jr., he was the second of several siblings in a large, close-knit family. He spent most of his childhood in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, and went on to serve his country in the United States Army at Fort Lewis in Washington and Camp Humphreys in South Korea.
Robert loved to tinker with just about everything. He could coax life into any engine, build a house from the ground up, and ride a horse for days. He loved his long summer fishing trips with family and his simple country life on the ranch. More than anything, he loved to make others laugh.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Stines-MacAfee; his parents, Norman MacAfee Jr. and Judith (Smith) Dougal; and his brothers Russell, Jake, William, and David. He is survived by his daughter, Alicia Ellis; his sons, Tommy Stines and Jason Farris; his sisters, Debra Vessell and Doris Shields; his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Emma, Cali, Ryan, Rory, Charlie, and Dax; his great-grand children, Mila, Erin, Wyatt, and Madelyn; and his sister-in-law and best buddy, Melinda and ‘Little Jake’. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends -- all of whom held special places in his heart.
Robert will be cremated by Midland Cremation Society in Joplin, Missouri, and a celebration of life will be held for close family and friends later this summer. In lieu of flowers and cards, the family has recommended donations be made to Ride for Life of Southwest Missouri, P.O. Box 87, Cassville, MO 65625.
May he rest in peace.
